On weekends, this place attracts regular diners like a magnet. On Friday nights, a line snakes out the front, and people wait for tables next door at the Grand Cru Wine Cellar. Michael's Grill is so casual and homey, it's like you're visiting neighbors, and it just happens that the food is a knockout too. Miami restaurant vets Michael and Andrea Reilly set out to create a causal, comfortable but intimate restaurant, featuring everything from New American to French, Italian to American classics. Service is terrific; the fare is exemplary, from Michael's fabulous seafood chowder, to buff entrees like Steak Oscar and chicken Marengo, finished by Andrea's buttery pastries. You can even dine alone at the bar and still feel pampered.
